With sold out concerts around the world, One Million Facebook fans and more than 27 million views of just one of his videos on YouTube, it’s no surprise that international pop superstar Massari is eager for his fans to experience his highly-anticipated third album, which will hit stores in late 2011. His untitled, forthcoming release is the follow up to 2009’s Forever Massari and his platinum self-titled debut (2005), which spawned the massive singles and videos, “Smile for Me”, “Be Easy” and “Real Love”.
The success of his debut CD – which included a Juno nomination, two Canadian Urban Music Award nominations and five MuchMusic Video Award (MMVA) nominations – led to licensing deals in nearly 60 countries, more than 400 concerts around the world, and an endorsement deal with Pepsi in the Middle East. Forever Massari included the hits, “Body Body” and “Bad Girl” and was the catalyst for Massari’s sold out tour in Europe and North Africa.
Massari, whose Arabic name means “Money,” was born in Beirut, Lebanon and moved with his family to Canada at age 10. The trilingual artist, who speaks English, French and Arabic fluently, was exposed to diverse styles of music growing up and cites Michael Jackson, Stevie Wonder, and legendary Arabic singer George Wassouf as his biggest musical influences.
With a string of major accolades under his belt and his infectious, hot new single, “Dance for Your Life,” already getting rave reviews from both industry experts and consumers, Massari is poised to sustain his chart-topping position at the forefront of the global music scene.
