Recently Danny Fernandes released the video for his single “Hit Me Up” ft. Belly and Josh Ramsay of Marianas Trench. The song, off his second album AUTOMATICLUV has reached gold sales in Canada, and is on the way to platinum status. “I am so excited for this,” Danny expresses. “I had fun working on the song, and the video so I am extremely happy that we’ve achieved this success,” Danny says. On Monday, January 16th “Hit me up” also grabbed the #1 spot on the iTunes R&B Chart!
CP Records & Management is thrilled to announce seven Canadian Radio Music Award (CRMA) nominations for their roster. The nominees were announced on January 11 in Toronto and include Alyssa Reid, Mia Martina and JRDN. “We are overwhelmed at the accomplishments of Alyssa Reid, Mia Martina and JRDN this past year,” says Manny Dion, Head of Management at CP Records & Management. “These nominations kick off a tremendous start to 2012 for us and we look forward to our artists’ future successes.”
Platinum selling songstress Alyssa Reid takes the lead this year with a total of five nominations, receiving a nod for the SOCAN Song of the Year. R&B/hip-hop artist JRDN is up for Fans’ Choice Award, for his 2011 single, “Like Magic”, which reached #24 on the Canadian Hot 100 with its music video topping the MuchMusic Countdown. This year, Mia Martina receives the nomination in the category of Dance/Urban/Rythmic for her Gold selling second single “Latin Moon”.
Hosted by radio personality Jay “Mad Dog” Michaels, the CRMA Award’s will take place on Friday, March 23 at a gala luncheon at the Fairmount Royal York Hotel in Toronto, ON.

Belly released the visuals to his much anticipated single “Num8ers” on WSHH which featured an appearance from Warner Brothers recording artist Rich Hil. The two also got in the studio to record a remix version of the song, set to be released very soon. The video was an abstract concept shot and directed by Footage, falling in perfect place with the rest of the videos from Belly’s latest mixtape The Greatest Dream I Never Had. Immediately following the CityTV NYE Bash in Toronto , the party continued live from Olympic Plaza in Calgary as the first-ever Citytv New Year’s Bashdrew an average of 422,000 viewers and a total reach of 2.5 million viewers to ring in the new year Calgary style. The Calgary spectacle boasted outstanding performances by Canadian country sensation George Canyon, award-winning Canadian band Down With Webster, R&B artist Raghav, and multi-platinum selling artist Alyssa Reid.
As the countdown to the new year began, Citytv was Canada’s party station once again. Broadcasting live from Toronto’s Nathan Phillips Square, the Citytv New Year’s Bash rang-in 2012 as Canada’s #1 New Year’s countdown, rocking an average audience of 652,100 viewers and drawing an astounding 5.1 million unique viewers tuning in to some or all of the broadcast. Performing to a roaring crowd of more than 40,000 fans, the Nathan Phillips Square bash featured performances by Backstreet Boy Howie D, hit singer Karl Wolf, singer/songwriter Anjulie, pop rock band Neverest, hip-hop artist JRDN, pop star Aleesia, and the cast of the highly-anticipated musical American Idiot, presented by Dancap Productions.
